The Yong Family went Philippines for CNY this year.
There's quite number of friends who just can't seems to understand our choice.
Whatever.
Philippines is not disappointing! Not even a bit.
They serves one of the best Western food in world, and I am not exaggerating.
And I'm saying many of their restaurants serves good one.Caesar salads, Pizza, Pasta, Steak, Pork Knuckles and they are not stingy with the Cheese, at all.
Not so good in Chinese food, but I can live perfectly fine with that.
Goldilocks and Red Ribbon are two of the bakeries that you can see it everywhere in Philippines.
Both are great place for sweet treats. Cause I'm big ant.Red Ribbon are famous for their cheese cakes and bun.
Goldilocks, cookies. All in very affordable price. Some are even consider as cheap.
I personally can't take my hands off the Goldilocks' caramel popcorn! Love em so much that I brought quite a few back to Msia.
Some very noticeable local fastfood chains are:-
Mang Inasal - serves bbq chicken, fish and pork with unlimited refillable rice. Tried the chicken one and it is strongly recommended! Juicy with hint of sweetness in the bbq chicken.
Chow King - serves chinese food.
Jolibee - Spaghetti and etc, didn't try it out cause they are not new to me since they are also available in Brunei.
Jon says that Jolibee is a carterpillar in disguise. And I strongly agree with him. Hah!
Went Baguio, their place to escape from the summer heat.
Something like Genting Highland, except slightly colder and without casino.
There's strawberries farm, garden park... Place with more of err relaxing mode.
Most pics taken there is not with me. But I personally loves this one, quite a lot.
Something worth talking bout Clark is this Ifugao Village, a beautiful beautiful place.
Along with this village, there's some replications of the living places of some historical people. Jose Rizals for example. They also greet us with their cultural dances, where 1 of their dance I believe, is a fusion of Flamingo, or perhaps derives from it.
As to the city of Manila,
there's quite a lot to be excited of.
La Loma Lechon!
Roast pork, that is. It's a street full with roast pork, shops and bbq compound.
They kinda work as Roast Pork Supplier in Manila, where restaurants usually get roast pork.

One of the many shops.
Also, the Chinese Cemetery.
Yes, cemetery.
In fact we went there on the 1st day of CNY.
I didn't even bothered to bring my camera down the bus cause I don't even get the point of vising cemetery in a trip. Apparantly I was wrong.
I swear some of the cemetery is even bigger than houses that we are living in!
And it was like some of the residential area you can see in Sibu. Streets, gates, dogs, house-alike. It's a clean and peaceful place with people cleaning it time to time and guards guarding that area.
Manila Cathedral- the catholic church with the biggest pipe organ in Southeast Asia.
I'm so not a fan of church interior, but definitely some interest towards this thing.
Just in case you wondered,
the interior is not a bit less beautiful that those in Europe.
SM Mall of Asia, one of largest Shopping Mall in Asia. There's 480+- stores in Midvalley while 1080+- in Mall of Asia.
Need I say more?
